Bhilai Steel Plant GM among 2 BSP staff arrested in iron scrap theft case: Police
Raipur, July 10 -- Two employees of the Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP), including a general manager, were arrested in Chhattisgarh's Durg district for their alleged involvement in an organised iron scrap theft racket that police said had been operating inside the plant for the past four to five months. With the latest arrests, the total number of people arrested in the case has risen to 15.
The arrested BSP employees were identified as Himanshu Bhushan Malik (54), general manager at SMS-3, and Manoj Kumar Devangan (58), an engineering associate at SMS-3.
