India, Nov. 23 -- Cloves are primarily used as a spice or fragrance in various consumer products, like toothpaste and soaps. Although the US Food and Drug Administration has not approved the use of cloves for medicinal purposes, the National Library of Medicine states that there are multiple benefits of cloves to our lives.
Clove is known for its antioxidant activities. As a result, it can treat memory deficits caused by oxidative stress. Clove bud extracts may also be utilised as antioxidants in food. Eugenol-rich clove extracts, both encapsulated and unencapsulated, were tested in soybean oil for their shelf life and frying stability, reports the National Library of Medicine.
