India, April 17 -- Romi Bhinder, the Rajasthan Royals team manager, has been fined INR 1 lakh for using a mobile phone inside the dugout during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 match against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati on April 10. During the Rajasthan Royals' batting innings, the cameras caught Bhinder closely looking at his phone, with Vaibhav Sooryavanshi seated alongside him. The image went viral on social media, and two days later, the Board of Control for Cricket in India's (BCCI) Anti-Corruption Unit issued a show-cause notice, giving him 48 hours to provide an explanation.
