India, July 8 -- Tamil actor Bava Lakshmanan made a public plea for help recently after facing dire financial and health issues. Since then, many from the Tamil film industry have stepped up to help him get back on his feet financially. The actor revealed how Rajinikanth and Vijay supported him after he had to get his toes amputated.

A video of Bava circulated last month, showing him sleeping in a parking lot because he had no place to live. The actor revealed that he faced such a dire situation after his toe was amputated because his leg was rotting away due to diabetes. He could not work for months after that.
