New Delhi, Oct. 1 -- The Barapullah Phase-III corridor was severely gridlocked just a day after its inauguration, with commuters reporting delays of up to an hour and traffic backlog extending for around three to four kilometres, as police cited seven lanes converging into three as the key reason for the logjam. Commuters said that on the first day of operation, they took the much-anticipated route assuming it would reduce travel time, but ended up getting stuck instead. "Got stuck for over 40 minutes going from Mayur Vihar to IIC across the river on the road that was just inaugurated.
