India, Aug. 15 -- Marvel sprung a surprise for its fans on Friday evening, dropping a look at its upcoming tentpole, Avengers: Doomsday, just a couple of weeks after the trailer. The new video, unveiled after a cryptic countdown, gives the backstory of Doctor Doom, the film's antagonist played by Robert Downey Jr, and the Avengers and X-Men's efforts to stop him.

The 2-minute, 10-second special look opens with Victor von Doom sitting on this throne as Sue Storm's voice informs that he was always 'the smartest person in the room' and how he got lost after his loved ones were taken from him.
