New Delhi, Sept. 23 -- Over three demanding days of intense qualification rounds at the Aichi Prefectural Shooting Range in Toyota where orange clay targets sliced through the sky, the Indian shotgun shooters displayed immense patience to showcase brilliant marksmanship.

When the final shells fell and the smoke from the barrels cleared, India had secured a double podium finish in skeet shooting with both the women's and men's teams capturing bronze medals on Wednesday.

The day belonged to the women's trio of Raiza Dhillon, Maheshwari Chauhan and Parinaaz Dhaliwal, who scripted a new chapter in the nation's shooting history. Together, they claimed India's first-ever Asian Games medal in the women's skeet team event.
