Kolkata, Aug. 20 -- A Nadia court in West Bengal on Wednesday ordered the issuance of an arrest warrant against Krishnanagar MP Mahua Moitra for not appearing in an alleged hate speech case filed against her in June, lawyers who attended the hearing said.
"The judge observed on Wednesday that the MP showed a 'lackadaisical approach' to complying with the court's order," a lawyer said, on condition of anonymity. The court directed that the warrant be issued and an execution report be placed before the court on August 28. htc
