Chandigarh, Aug. 12 -- Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Dhiraj Seth called on Haryana chief minister Nayab Singh Saini at his official residence here on Tuesday.

The meeting focused on strengthening civil-military synergy and issues concerning regional security, an official spokesperson said.

Lieutenant General Pushpendra Singh, Army Commander, Western Command, along with senior officials from the army headquarters and the state government, was also present during the meeting.

This was the first meeting between the Army Chief and the CM since General Dhiraj Seth assumed command of the army.
