India, Sept. 9 -- An Anthropic researcher has resigned from the company citing fears that AI labs are building systems that could kill human life in just a few years. Jacob Coxon said in an X post this morning that he is quitting Anthropic - as he had previously quit OpenAI - because these AI companies are gambling with lives in their rush to improve superintelligence.

"I resigned from Anthropic today. I spent the last three years doing pretraining research at both OpenAI and Anthropic. Neither company is acting responsibly," Coxon said.

"They are racing straight to self-improving superintelligence and gambling with our lives."
