India, Sept. 1 -- Activist Anna Hazare was hospitalised at the Bombay Hospital in Mumbai after his health deteriorated, people aware of the matter said on Monday. "He has acute viral, acute dehydration and acute kidney trouble. He is in ICU," Dr Gautam Bhansali said. Hazare was admitted to Vedant Hospital in Shirur last week and his condition improved after about three days of treatment. However, his creatinine levels rose during treatment, prompting doctors to shift him to Mumbai for further care, people aware of the matter said. The veteran Gandhian activist was brought to the hospital in a cardiac ambulance, along with caretakers from his village.
