Kolkata, Sept. 23 -- The Calcutta high court on Tuesday told the West Bengal government to allow Milan Pradhan, the Congress candidate in the Nandigram assembly, to contest the upcoming bypolls on condition of him getting bail in the five cases for which he has been arrested and was sent to judicial custody, according to the Congress leader's counsel. Pradhan's counsel said a bail petition will be moved in the high court on Wednesday. "The bench of Justice Saugata Bhattacharyya orally remarked to the state to allow Pradhan to contest the by-elections if he gets bail in the cases in which he has already been arrested," Ajitesh Pandey, Pradhan's counsel told HT.
