GUWAHATI, April 7 -- Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday claimed that the Congress used false information from a Pakistani social media group to level allegations that his wife has passports of three countries and owns properties in Dubai and a company in the US. Meanwhile, the Congress filed a complaint with the Election Commission, demanding the cancellation of Sarma's candidature from Jalukbari seat for the April 9 polls, contending that he did not mention his wife's alleged offshore assets in the poll affidavit.
