Thiruvananthapuram, May 4 -- Kerala chief electoral officer Rathan U Kelkar on Sunday said all arrangements are in place for the smooth counting across 140 centres in 43 locations, as votes for the Kerala assembly elections will be counted on Monday. In total, 15,465 officials including 140 returning officers, 1,340 additional assistant ROs, 4,208 micro observers, 4,208 counting supervisors, and 5,563 counting assistants will be deployed, officials said. To maintain law and order and prevent violence, 32,301 police personnel will also be deployed across the state.
