India, June 4 -- Tamil star and racer Ajith Kumar's mother Mohini Mani passed away on May 30 at the age of 89. Days after losing her, the actor announced that he was back to work with a 'heavy heart'. Supportive messages poured in from fans as the actor returned to racing.

On Thursday, the official social media account of Ajith Kumar Racing posted numerous pictures of the actor-racer geared up for a race. Posting the pictures, they wrote, "Back at work with a heavy heart but life must go on! #AjithKumarRacing #AK #AjithKumar #AjithRedantRacing." Some of the pictures show Ajith looking pensive as he waits to return to the track.
