AIMIM corporator booked for 'sheltering' TCS case accused Nida
Nashik, May 9 -- The Nashik city police has booked first-time AIMIM corporator from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Mateen Patel, for allegedly sheltering Nida Khan, the absconding accused in the TCS-linked BPO sexual exploitation and religious coercion case.
Terming it a serious offence, police informed the court that there were attempts of forced religious conversion through threats. The prosecution sought her custody to investigate the alleged plan to send the victim abroad and to probe potential links with other conversion rackets.
Meanwhile, Khan, who was arrested in Sambhajinagar on Thursday, was on Friday produced before the Nashik Sessions Court which has been remanded in police custody until May 11.
