Srinagar, Nov. 4 -- Srinagar MP Syed Aga Ruhullah Mehdi on Tuesday resigned from the Lok Sabha and quit the National Conference (NC), accusing the party of abandoning its election promises, a move that follows months of differences with the party.
"Till November 3, 2.40pm, I was with NC, and now I have left NC. I am free now," he said at a rally in Budgam. He accused NC of being silent "on important issues, especially Article 370". P8
