New Delhi, March 27 -- Over a hundred members of the transgender community and politicians from opposition parties including the Rashtriya Janata Dal, the Communist Party of India (Marxist), the Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar) and the Indian National Congress called for the withdrawal of the Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Amendment Bill, 2026, at a public hearing held in New Delhi last Sunday.
