Accused shot dead in exchange of fire: Cops
LUCKNOW, May 5 -- A 19-year-old man who allegedly killed a woman and her four children in Miranpur on Saturday was shot dead in an exchange of fire with police near the Neveria Bypass early Monday. Two police personnel were also injured in the gunfight.
The suspect, identified as Aamir, lived around 400 metres from the victims' house and wanted to marry 34-year-old Ghaziya Khatun for her property, police said. The victims, including Khatun and her four children, had been living in Saudi Arabia for four years before recently returning to Uttar Pradesh. The murders took place within the limits of Akbarpur Kotwali, they added.
