India, Aug. 8 -- The Jharkhand government, which held talks with protesting JPSC-JSSC aspirants on Saturday, assured of quick decisions to resolve the issues being raised by students in Ranchi.
In an escalation of tensions, several ABVP members engaged in a scuffle with police as they tried to break through barricades near Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren's residence. According to news agency PTI, around 10 people were detained.
The protesters, who have gathered in large numbers in the state capital, have primarily demanded the cancellation of the 14th Jharkhand PSC Civil Services Examination over alleged paper leak.
