abdullah, wife seek sc nod for divorce decree
New Delhi, Aug. 1 -- Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah and his wife have decided to formally part ways by filing a joint request before the Supreme Court to draw out a divorce decree putting an end to their 32-year-old marriage.
The fact was informed to the top court on Friday in a proceeding by Abdullah challenging a Delhi high court order turning down his divorce plea. He approached the top court in 2024 and since then, several attempts to mediate the dispute had failed.
