AAP worker shot dead in Pb; old dispute likely
Ferozepur, Aug. 31 -- A 45-year-old Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) worker was killed, and his associate sustained bullet injuries after armed assailants allegedly chased their motorcycle and opened fire in Mamdot town in Punjab's Ferozepur district, police said on Sunday, suspecting that the attack stemmed from an old dispute or a political rivalry.
The incident took place on Saturday night when Gurpreet Singh Gopi was travelling with his associate Harpreet. The attackers, police said, were in a car. Ferozepur SSP Bhupinder Singh Sidhu said, "Gopi was declared dead in a hospital, while Harpreet is under medical supervision."
