India, Sept. 29 -- A Different World is back for a new generation. A sequel series with several original cast members premiered on Netflix on September 24, exactly 39 years after the original show began on NBC.

A Different World is currently streaming on Netflix.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Lisa Bonet played Denise Huxtable, Cliff Huxtable's second child, in the first season of A Different World. Her character attended Hillman, a fictional historically Black college in Virginia.
