India, April 17 -- The quiet industrial landscape of Nashik has been shaken by an alleged scandal involving a Tata Consultancy Services (TCS)-linked BPO unit, where allegations of rape, systemic sexual harassment, and organised religious coercion have led to a massive criminal investigation.

The Nashik police have so far registered nine FIRs and arrested seven employees of the BPO firm. While the police have labeled 26-year-old Nida Khan as the "absconding mastermind" behind alleged religious conversion attempts, her family has come forward to vehemently dispute these claims.
