India, Aug. 22 -- Seven Congress workers were arrested for attempting to stop Haryana chief minister Nayab Singh Saini's convoy by breaching security and showing him black flags in Gurugram's Civil Lines area on Friday, police said.

Officials said the workers were present at the spot along with senior Congress leaders from Gurugram and other workers to protest over poor roads, waterlogging and other issues.

CM Saini was in the city to chair the district public relations and grievance committee meeting and to interact with industrialists and students at the Gen-H startup summit.

A senior police official said Saini was on the move when these men tried to push away security personnel.
