India, Aug. 13 -- The police on Wednesday arrested seven people allegedly involved in the kidnapping of a three-month-old boy from his house in Sahibabad near Tila Morh on August 9 to sell him to a couple in Haryana, an officer said.

The child's parents filed a police complaint on August 10, and an FIR was registered under BNS section 137(2) (kidnapping) at Tila Morh police station.

"On the day of the incident, my wife had gone to a local market while I was also busy with household work. The suspect sneaked into our house and took the child. One of our neighbours saw them taking the child. Later, when my child was not seen anywhere, we approached the police for help," the child's father told HT.
