Haridwar, Aug. 8 -- Six members of a family were killed and a nine-year-old boy injured critically after their SUV plunged 250 metres into a gorge on the Pauri-Devprayag motor road in Pauri Garhwal district on Friday, police said. The deceased were identified as Afzal (50) and his wife Shabbo (40), their sons Arman (21) and Aman (16), daughter Anabiya (5) and Gufran (26). The sole survivor was the couple's nine-year-old son Aslam, who is currently under treatment at the Community Health Centre (CHC) in Bagi in critical condition, said officials aware of the matter. The incident occurred when the driver lost control of the SUV, they added.
