India, Sept. 8 -- Massive protests broke out in Nepal on Monday, after the government's decision to ban most social media platforms, including Facebook, YouTube and X.
Six persons were killed as clashes erupted between the protestors and the police, while 42 others sustained injuries. According to The Kathmandu Post, the six deceased succumbed to their injuries while receiving treatment at the Civil Hospital and National Trauma Centre.
Tens of thousands of protestors took to the streets in Kathmandu, surrounding the Parliament of the country after pushing through barbed wires, the Associated Press reported.
