Hyderabad, April 16 -- Five people were killed and around 20 others injured in an explosion at a house in Andhra Pradesh's Sri Sathya Sai district on Wednesday, police said.
The blast occurred around 12.30pm at Kummaravandla Palli village under Kadiri block, where workers from Telangana were staying, officials aware of the matter said. Police suspect detonators stored inside the house triggered the explosion.
"While initial suspicion pointed to an LPG cylinder blast, preliminary investigation indicated that detonators and ammonium sulphate stored in the house triggered the explosion," a police officer said, requesting anonymity.
