5 die in GUJARAT after drinking spurious liquor
Ahmedabad, Aug. 20 -- At least five people have died and 18 are undergoing treatment at Sir T Hospital in Gujarat's Bhavnagar and other hospitals after allegedly consuming spurious liquor at Kharadi village in Ghogha taluka, a senior police officer said on Wednesday.
According to police, they have detained 10 suspected bootleggers for questioning. The incident came to light on Tuesday after people who had consumed the liquor started falling ill.
