IMPHAL, July 22 -- Forty-six insurgents of the banned Kangleipak Communist Party (People's War Group) surrendered before security forces in Manipur's Imphal on Tuesday, handing over 28 weapons, ammunition and other war-like stores under the Centre's rehabilitation programme, the ministry of defence said in a statement. The cadres surrendered before chief minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh under the Revised Scheme for Surrender-cum-Rehabilitation of Militants in the North Eastern States, 2018.
