India, June 5 -- The Gautam Budh Nagar police on Thursday declared the entire stretch of the Yamuna Expressway within its jurisdiction (from 0km to 41km) a "No Protest Zone" to ensure smooth, safe, and uninterrupted traffic flow, police said.

The decision follows directions the Allahabad High Court issued on May 22. All forms of protest activities-political, non-political, or otherwise-are strictly prohibited on the designated stretch of the expressway, the statement said.

"Primary objective of this restriction is to prevent disruption to traffic movement and to ensure the seamless passage of both public and commercial vehicles," added the statement issued on Thursday.
