PATNA, April 1 -- A day after the stampede at the Sheetla Mata Temple in Nalanda left 8 people dead and 8 injured, the police filed an FIR against 40 people, arrested four people and the state Director General of Police (DGP) Vinay Kumar ordered a security audit of all religious places across the state.

Besides, the Nalanda district administration has started taking action against the temple management committee for security and management lapses that could have led to a tragic incident on Tuesday.
