Ahmedabad, Oct. 16 -- Four workers were killed in an explosion at a chemical manufacturing unit in Chhatral GIDC in Gandhinagar district on Thursday afternoon, according to Gandhinagar SP Ravi Teja Vasamsetty.
The incident took place at Kovika Dyes and Intermediates when workers were fitting a pipe to a pressure vessel containing chemicals, police officers said.
They added the explosion was so powerful the four workers died on spot. Officials are investigating cause of the explosion and any violation of safety norms, the officers saidhtc
