3-month jail for Rajpal in cheque bounce cases
New Delhi, July 11 -- The Delhi high court on Friday sentenced Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav to three months' imprisonment in seven cheque bounce cases after upholding his conviction by the trial court, even as it suspended the jail term for two months to enable him to file an appeal.
A bench of justice Swarana Kanta Sharma also directed Yadav to pay Rs.1.05 crore in each case as compensation to the complainant, M/s Murli Projects Private Limited, as well as Rs.25,000 to the State.
