Ludhiana, June 2 -- Three workers, including a father and son, died and two others were hospitalised after inhaling toxic fumes while cleaning a sewage line inside a hand tool factory in Punjab's Ludhiana in the early hours on Monday, police said. The factory owner has been booked and a judicial inquiry has been ordered into the matter, they added. According to police, the factory management had hired the father-son duo to clear the sewage system at Deep Tools factory in Industrial Area-A on RK Road at 2 am, where they used to dispose of chemicals used in the electroplating process.
