India, Aug. 23 -- Three men were arrested after the RCF police, acting on a tip-off, allegedly caught them dumping construction debris behind Cubic Mall in Chembur. Police seized a dumper loaded with debris and an excavator from the spot and said the illegal dumping had allegedly been going on for about a month.

The accused were identified as Hasan Abbas Jafar Mehdi Sayyed, 46, from Baiganwadi, Govandi; dumper driver Ashish Supture, 36, from Chembur; and excavator operator Gopal Maruti Jadhav, 21, from Bhiwandi.

Police said constable Sanket Dhumal of the RCF police station's detection branch received a tip-off about construction debris being dumped behind the mall. When he reached the spot with other personnel, they found a dumper full ...
