Kolkata, June 24 -- An under-construction private warehouse in West Bengal's Taratala area of west Kolkata collapsed on Wednesday afternoon, killing three labourers, while trapping several under its debris, police said.

Chief minister Suvendu Adhikari visited the accident site in the afternoon and said 21 labourers have been rescued so far, while three of them died in the SSKM Hospital.

"Twenty one people have been rescued so far. Three of them have died. Around 12-14 people are still trapped in the debris. The army, police and NDRF [National Disaster Response Force] are doing a satisfactory job," Adhikari said.
