BIDAR, Aug. 23 -- Three women died and 21 others were injured after a pickup vehicle carrying labourers back to their homes collided into an electric police on Sunday morning in Karnataka's Yadgir district, near Mandal village, police said.

Police sub-inspector (PSI) Devendra Reddy told HT, "The labourers had left early in the morning around 6am to work in agricultural fields in Madnal village, where they were engaged in removing weeds from cotton crops. After completing their work, they were returning to their village in a pickup vehicle when the accident occurred at 9:30am near Madnal.
