India, Aug. 23 -- Two construction workers died after falling from the 14th floor of a Greater Noida West high-rise on Saturday, police said.

The incident occurred at Amrapali Golf Homes when the two men were carrying out construction-related work, police added.

"According to workers at a nearby building, the incident occurred around 4pm. The two men were working on the 14th floor when their legs slipped. They were not wearing their safety belts properly, so they fell," said a police officer, requesting anonymity.

The two sustained serious injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared them dead during treatment, officials added.
