2 doctors booked in rRs.r5 lakh insurance fraud
MUMBAI, June 5 -- Two doctors attached to a private hospital in Jogeshwari have been booked for allegedly fraudulently obtaining a Rs.5 lakh health insurance policy in the name of a former employee and claiming money for a surgery that never took place.
The complainant, Prakash Patil, a former office boy at the hospital, received a call from a hospital employee. During the conversation, the employee allegedly told Patil that one of the doctors had already procured a medical insurance policy in his name. Patil informed her that he had never applied for any medical insurance.
Suspicious of this claim,he asked her to send the insurance documents. Upon receiving the documents, he discovered that a private insurance company had indeed issued...
