New Delhi, March 31 -- Congress lawmaker Abhishek Manu Singhvi on Monday questioned the status of the notice submitted for the removal of the chief election commissioner (CEC), Gyanesh Kumar, in the Rajya Sabha. He pointed out that despite submitting the notice on March 12, there has been no official communication regarding its admission or current standing within the House. "Notice for removal of the CEC was given 19 days ago on 12th March. The Honourable Chair has not informed the House whether it is admitted or under consideration. We have no information," Singhvi stated. The notice was signed by 130 Lok Sabha MPs and 63 Rajya Sabha MPs.
