India, March 12 -- The notice for impeachment of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar, which is piloted by Trinamool Congress, will be submitted to both Houses of Parliament, a senior Opposition leader aware of the details said on Wednesday. At least 120 Lok Sabha MPs and 60 Rajya Sabha lawmakers have signed the notice.

Helmed by Trinamool Congress, which has been at war with the Election Commission of India over the SIR exercise in poll-bound West Bengal, two separate copies of the notice will be submitted in Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha by Friday, this person added, asking not to be named.
