14 injured after private company bus overturns on the Eastern Peripheral Expressway
India, Aug. 23 -- Fourteen people were injured after a private company bus carrying around 28-30 corporate employees overturned on the Eastern Peripheral Expressway (EPE) near Dadri on Saturday evening, police said. No fatalities were reported, officials added.
According to police, the bus was headed toward Dadri around 6pm when the driver allegedly swerved to avoid a vehicle ahead. The driver then lost control of the bus, causing it to overturn, officials said.
Following the accident, police reached the spot and launched a rescue operation. The injured were taken to the Government Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS) in ambulances for treatment, officials said. Officials at GIMS said all the injured were out of danger.
