India, March 20 -- An Indian national was killed in Riyadh in Saudi Arabia on March 18, taking the count of Indian deaths in the Gulf region due to the ongoing war between Iran and the US-Israel to 6. Speaking during the interministerial briefing on Friday, Aseem Mahajan, the additional secretary (Gulf), said that the ministry received the confirmation of the death late on Thursday night.
"We send deepest condolences to the family and our mission in Riyadh is in touch with the authorities and closely monitoring the return of his mortals to India," said Mahajan.
Mahajan further informed that a total of six Indian nationals have lost their lives so far during the conflict in the West Asia region and one continues to be missing.
