1 dead in Rohini building collapse
New Delhi, July 9 -- A 42-year-old man died and at least two were injured, as a set of twin buildings in Rohini Sector 16 collapsed while plumbing work was reportedly being carried out, trapping labourers, the building owner and passersby, according to officials and residents of the locality. Two persons were rescued, with operations underway to rescue six to seven more people, including two children, suspected to be trapped at the time of the report going to print.
Police said that work was being undertaken on the 26-metre-high four-storey buildings for the past year.
