India, June 5 -- Support has been growing for the newly commissioned Army captain, Bharat Bhardwaj, over debate surrounding his recent proposal to his partner at a passing-out parade ceremony in Maharashtra - a gesture that got many heartfelt reactions but also sparked an online debate over military protocol as well as security concerns because of an Army helicopter visible in the backdrop.

Viral videos of the proposal, which took place after the passing-out parade at the Combat Army Aviation Training School near Nashik on Tuesday, showed the newly commissioned pilot in ceremonial uniform going down on one knee on the tarmac before presenting a ring to his partner.
