Srinagar, Oct. 3 -- Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah on Friday termed the Jammu and Kashmir Compressed Bio-Gas (CBG) Policy 2026 a major step towards promoting clean energy, strengthening the circular economy and turning organic waste into wealth in J&K.

Following its approval by the council of ministers' meeting chaired by the CM, the J&K government has notified the Jammu and Kashmir Compressed Bio-Gas (CBG) Policy 2026, providing a comprehensive framework for converting organic waste into clean automotive fuel and organic fertiliser.
