India, Aug. 4 -- Opposition leaders launched a sharp attack on the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and ex-party MP and former Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, after Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court acquitted him and co-accused, secretary Vinod Tomar, on Monday in a sexual harassment case filed by women wrestlers.

Singh was acquitted by the court in the high-profile sexual harassment case filed by six women wrestlers, including World Championships medallist Vinesh Phogat.

Several opposition leaders launched scathing attacks on the BJP following Singh's acquittal.
