India, Aug. 15 -- Police arrested four men on Friday for robbing a Jan Seva Kendra operator of Rs.4.18 lakh in Gosainganj. The accused, who allegedly went on a spending spree in Varanasi, were tracked down after one suspect posted social media videos featuring an iPhone purchased with the stolen cash.

The incident occurred on August 6 while victim Rahul Kumar was riding home. Two men on a motorcycle intercepted him, struck him with a wooden stick and fled with his bag containing Rs.4,18,330. Investigations revealed the robbery was pre-planned; Shubham Rawat, who knew Kumar routinely carried cash, allegedly coordinated with accomplices Arun Kumar, Shiva and Chanchal Yadav to execute the heist.
